Jyoti Magar (also known as Jyoti Thapa Magar) is a Nepali folk (lok dohori) singer, model, and an actress.

 She started her professional musical career in 2006 and since then, she has given a number of hit albums and has travelled extensively within and outside Nepal to perform in stage programs. Jyoti has been criticized by some media outlets and Nepali social media users for her provocative and glamorous way of dressing and dancing.

Jyoti Magar signed up with a Kathmandu-based record company and recorded her first album in 2006. A music video was also produced, but the company later decided not to release the album, possibly due to risks involved in producing an album of a new singer en masse.

 सुनिन्छ ज्योति अत्याधिक रक्सी पिऊछीन यति पूछीं की ऊनि पिएको बेलामा आफु कहा छू र आफु गायिका हु भन्ने कुरा पनि बिर्सन्छिन। उनले रक्सी खाएर मातेको र आफ्नै बेइज्जत गरेको घटना बेला बेलामा मिडियामा आइरहन्छ यसै बिच एक कार्यक्रममा उनले यति रक्सी पीई न की त्यो बेलामा उनले आफ्नो सेक्स जीवन बारे धेरै कुरा खोलिन ऊनि सगै  पिउने उनके साथीले उनलाई ऊल्लु बनाएछन उनले भनेका ति  कुरा बाहिर आएपछि मात्र उनले चाल पाईन। वास्तबमा कुरा के रहेछ भने कुरै कुरामा साथीहरुले सेक्स गर्न मन लाग्दा के गर्नुहुन्छ भनी सोधेछन् उनले पनि मातेको जोशमा भनी हालिछन पोर्न मुभि हेर्छु आणि अति हुन्छ त्यसपछि आफ्ना अंग आफै खेलाउदै सुत्छु रस झरेपछि शान्त भइहाल्छ हाहाहाहाहा। ...उनको यो भनाइ उनीहरुमा मात्रै सिमित रहेन बाहिरा पनि आए रै छाड्यो उनको यो कुराले अहिले मिडियामा ठुलो तहल्का मच्चाएको छ। उनले एक इन्टरभ्युमा आफु त्यों ब्यबहार प्रति लज्जित भएको बताउदै अब यस्तो गलती नहुने कुरा पनि ब्यक्त गरिन। जे होस कलाकार देशका गहना हुन उनीहरुको हामी सबैले सम्मान गरौ।
